11th Voice – Jay Mawaka-Smith (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and London, England)

This Episode features Jay Mawaka-Smith, Founder of the LeNoir Foundation. The Foundation focuses on providing relief to poor, distressed, and underprivileged individuals residing in Zimbabwe and India by developing academic scholarships and educational programs.

Mr. Jay Mawaka-Smith joins us as the 11th voice to talk about his life’s journey. From growing up in Zimbabwe to moving to London, England as a refugee with his mother whom he describes as a living legend. In this episode Jay talks about what it meant to be a refugee and effectively stateless following the family’s move from Zimbabwe to the UK, how Europeans view Africa as a whole, The LeNoir Foundation and his reasons for starting it and a whole lot more including Jay’s desire to have a Pilot’s license.
