Salimatou is an award winning activist who has received several honors. She won “African Leadership Award in September 2016, was nominated for the African Youth Award under “Advocate of the year”. Salimatou is a Barrack Obama Young African Leaders Initiative Alumni. In 2017 Africa Youth Awards named her among the 100 Most Influential Young Africans.
